Team logo digitizing for every item in the season
A school or club logo does not live on one product. The same crest shows up on coaches' polos, player caps, warm-up jackets, equipment bags, letter jackets, spirit wear sold at the booster table and patches for uniforms. Each of those items needs the design at a different size, and some need a different technique altogether. A left-chest crest shrunk down for a cap, or blown up for a jacket back, rarely sews well, because stitch density, underlay and detail all have to change with the size.
We build team logo files the way a season actually uses them: one master design, then a properly built version for each size and placement. Every order includes a stitch simulation proof and a PDF worksheet with the stitch count, size and color sequence, and you pay only when you approve.
Mascot digitizing
Mascots are usually the most detailed art a team owns: teeth, feathers, fur, outlines and shading, often drawn for print rather than thread. Good mascot digitizing keeps the character recognizable while simplifying what cannot be stitched at the target size. At left-chest size, fine interior lines may merge into satin outlines, and small highlights may become a single stitched shape. On a jacket back, there is room for more of the original detail.
Our digitizers make those calls by hand, and the proof shows you exactly how the mascot will look before any money changes hands. If a detail matters to the school, such as a particular eye shape or a stripe in the mascot's jersey, say so in the notes and it will be kept.
A school logo embroidery file in every size
Most schools and teams end up needing the same few placements. Typical sizes are shown below, but always go by your garment and your customer's preference.

Order the first version at its size, then add an extra size of the same design for $6 each. For caps, the cap version is sequenced from the center out and bottom up so the design stays in place on the curved front. The cap digitizing page explains why caps need their own file.
Order the largest version first when the logo is detailed. It becomes the reference for the smaller versions, so every size looks like the same crest.
Team names, numbers and tackle twill
Team names, player names and numbers are often done in tackle twill: pieces of twill fabric laid on the garment and sewn down with a satin or zigzag border. It keeps big lettering light and flexible compared with filling the whole area with stitches, and it gives the classic varsity look on jerseys and jackets.
A tackle twill file runs a placement line, a tack-down stitch to hold the fabric, then the finished border. Applique adds $5 to the design price. Tell us how you cut your twill and whether you want a single-layer or multi-layer look (for example, a white letter with a colored outline layer) in the order notes. For individual player names on a whole roster, most shops use lettering in their embroidery software or heat-applied names rather than a new file per player. Order a digitized file when the team uses a custom script or a name arch that has to match the logo.
Chenille letters for letter jackets
Chenille letters are the fuzzy, looped letters and patches on varsity jackets. They are stitched on a chenille machine, which uses a looping stitch for the textured pile and a chain stitch for outlines, usually on a felt backing. That is a different kind of file from standard embroidery, so it needs a digitizer who plans the loop direction and spacing for the machine. Chenille digitizing starts $45. Patches for uniforms and spirit wear
Patches let teams put a crest on items that are hard to hoop, such as backpacks and thick jackets, and they are popular for spirit wear and awards. We digitize embroidered patches with a satin border for $5 on top of the design price, so the edge seals cleanly when cut. Patch files are built to sew on twill or felt and then be cut out, heat-sealed or backed as your shop prefers.
Spirit wear on a school timeline
School orders come in waves: back to school, homecoming, playoffs and the end of the season. Standard turnaround is 24 hours from when you place the order. When the booster club remembers the order two days before the big game, rush is 12 hours for $5 more and express is 6 hours for $10 more.

School crests, mascots and league logos usually belong to the school, district, club or league. You need the rights to the artwork you send us, so check with the school or team that you have permission to reproduce it before placing an order.
