Embroidery digitizing and vector services under one account

StitchQuill offers embroidery digitizing and vector services for anyone who decorates garments and products: embroidery shops, screen printers, promotional products distributors, online sellers, schools and teams, and people who stitch at home. You upload a logo or drawing, tell us how it will be used, and a digitizer or vector artist rebuilds it by hand for that job. You get a proof first, you ask for as many changes as you need, and you pay only when you approve.

What our digitizing and vector art services cover

Most of our work falls into four groups. Each one solves a different problem, even when the starting artwork is the same logo.

Embroidery digitizing

Digitizing is the process of turning artwork into a stitch file: a set of instructions that tells an embroidery machine where to put every stitch, in what order, with which thread color. A good file sets the stitch type for each shape (satin, fill or running stitch), adds underlay, compensates for fabric pull and plans the path so the machine does not jump back and forth. We build every file by hand for the size, placement and fabric you give us. There is no auto-digitizing in our process. Specialty work such as caps, 3D puff, applique, chenille, patches and towels each has its own page above because each needs its own technique.

Vector art conversion

A vector file is artwork made of shapes and curves rather than pixels, so it scales to any size without going blurry. Printers, sign makers, engravers and promo suppliers usually ask for vector art (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF). If all you have is a screenshot, a photo of a business card or a low-resolution JPG, we redraw it as clean vector art instead of running it through an automatic trace.

Screen print separations and print-ready files

Screen printers need artwork split into one layer per ink color, with registration marks and any underbase or halftones set up for the press. DTF and DTG printers need a sized, cleaned-up file with a transparent background. These are separate services from plain vectorizing because the output is built for a specific print method.

File conversion and edits

If you already have a stitch file that is in the wrong format, the wrong size or has a spelling mistake in the text, you may not need a new design at all. Our conversion and editing services handle format changes, color changes, text fixes and resizing within safe limits.

How to pick the right service

Start with what will happen to the artwork next. That tells you which group you need.

• It will be stitched. Choose embroidery digitizing. Then pick the page that matches the placement (left chest, cap front, jacket back, sleeve and so on) or the technique (3D puff, applique, chenille, patch).
• It will be printed, engraved, cut or sent to a supplier. Choose vector art conversion. If the printer needs color layers for screens, choose separations instead.
• It will go on a DTF transfer or a DTG printer. Choose print-ready art, which gives you a cleaned file at the exact print size.
• You already have a stitch file. Choose conversion or editing, as long as the original file sews well. A poor file converted to a new format is still a poor file.

Many customers need more than one. A logo that goes on polos and on printed banners needs a stitch file and a vector file. You can order both in one visit to the order form. Pricing summary

Every price is a flat price per design. Embroidery is priced by finished size, and the price already includes every machine format, the PDF worksheet and unlimited revisions before you approve.

Add-ons are listed as they apply: 3D puff $8, applique $5, a cap version of a flat design $6, an extra size of the same design $6 and a patch border $5. Chenille starts $45. Designs larger than about 14 in are quoted. The full list, including credit packs for shops, is on the pricing page.

Standard turnaround is 24 hours from the time you place the order. Rush is 12 hours for $5 more, and express is 6 hours for $10 more.

How our online digitizing services work

Everything happens online, from upload to download. There is no phone tag and no waiting for someone to email a quote back.

1. Create an account and upload your artwork. The order form accepts JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PSD and ZIP files.
2. Enter the details. Size, placement, fabric, the formats you need and the turnaround. The price shows before you submit.
3. A digitizer or artist builds the file by hand. They follow your size, fabric and placement, not a generic preset.
4. Review the proof. For embroidery, the proof is a stitch simulation image plus a PDF worksheet with the stitch count, size and color sequence. It appears in your dashboard and we email you.
5. Ask for changes or approve. Revisions are unlimited until you approve. When you are happy, pay with PayPal or prepaid credits, and your files are released for download right away.

Formats you receive

Every embroidery order includes all the common machine formats at no extra cost: DST, PES, EXP, JEF, VP3, XXX, HUS and VIP. An editable Wilcom EMB working file is available on request. One order covers a commercial multi-head and a Brother or Janome at home. If you are unsure which file your machine reads, the embroidery file formats section lists them by brand.

Vector orders come back in the standard vector formats that printers, sign makers and suppliers ask for, such as AI, EPS, SVG and PDF. Separations come back with one layer per ink color so your film or screen output goes straight to the press.

What stays the same on every order

• Pay after proof. Nothing is charged until you approve the proof.
• Unlimited revisions until you approve.
• Free minor edits for 30 days after delivery: a color change, a small text fix or a density tweak.
• Sew-out guarantee. If a file we digitized does not sew cleanly on the machine and fabric you gave us, send a photo of the sew-out and we fix it free. If we cannot fix it, we refund that order.
• Your files stay in your dashboard for downloads and re-orders, along with your saved logo library, invoices and credits.

Who we serve

We serve customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, from single-machine home studios to busy commercial shops. Shops tend to care about consistent files, credit packs and quick rush options. Print shops need vector and separation work more than stitch files. Home embroiderers usually need a single custom design in the right hoop size. Our who we serve section has a page for each business type, with the problems and workflow we see most often.

New accounts get their first design free, up to $24 of design value. That covers a small or medium embroidery design outright, and larger designs get that amount off. No card is needed to place it.
