What to upload

Send the best version of the artwork you have. A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) is ideal, but a sharp JPG or PNG works well too. Photos of a printed shirt or an old patch are fine if the design is clear and well lit. You can attach up to five files per order, for example the logo plus a photo showing where it goes on the garment.

  • Crop out anything that is not part of the design.
  • If the logo has small text, send the largest, clearest copy you have.
  • If you only need part of a logo stitched, say which part in the notes.
  • For a file conversion or edit, upload the stitch file itself (DST, PES, EXP and so on).

How to measure the size

Enter the finished size of the design on the garment, in inches. The price is based on the longest side (width or height), so measure the widest point of the design, not the garment. Some common starting points:

  • Left chest logo: usually 3 to 4 inches wide. See left chest logo size.
  • Structured cap front: usually 4.5 to 5 inches wide and no more than about 2.25 inches tall. See hat logo size.
  • Jacket back: often 10 to 12 inches wide, depending on the jacket.

If you need the same design at more than one size, add the extra size in the form. Each extra size is $6, because a design has to be adjusted, not just scaled, to sew well at a different size.

Formats you receive

You do not have to pick just one. Every embroidery order includes DST, PES, EXP, JEF, VP3, XXX, HUS and VIP, plus a PDF worksheet with the stitch count, size and color sequence. An editable Wilcom EMB working file is available on request. Choose your main machine format in the form so we check the file in that format first. Placement, fabric and turnaround

Tell us where the design goes and what it is stitched on. A logo for a pique polo, a fleece jacket and a structured cap needs different density, underlay and pull compensation. Then choose standard (24 hours), rush (12 hours) or express (6 hours). Turnaround is counted from when you place the order.

What happens next

  1. You submit the order. If you are new, your account is created in the same step, and you get an email confirmation.
  2. A digitizer builds your file by hand. Very large or unusual designs are quoted first, and work starts once you accept.
  3. Your stitch simulation proof and PDF worksheet appear in your dashboard, and we email you.
  4. Ask for changes if anything is off. Revisions are unlimited until you approve.
  5. Approve and pay with PayPal, or with your prepaid credits. PayPal takes cards too. Your files are ready to download as soon as the payment is complete.
